A first version of the Proceedings of the Second Workshop on African Language Technology (AfLaT 2010) was published on the LREC 2010 web site. We have re-edited the proceedings for your convenience. The new version of the AfLaT 2010 proceedings is available from AfLaT.org.

AnLoc Localization and Language Conference 2011 - Call for Papers

The African Network for Localization (ANLoc) (www.africanlocalisation.net) has a vision to empower Africans to participate in the digital age by removing the last inch limitations imposed on language usage by the limitation of technology.

ANLoc will host an international conference in Nairobi, Kenya to bring together Localization stakeholders in Africa. These include linguist, translators, language policy makers, researchers, media, national ICT Boards, language technology experts, software localizers, software companies, etc. It will be place to also share localization work, tools and experiences.

9th October 2010 Abstract acceptance notification
6th November 2010 Paper and Poster submission (deadline is 11:59pm EAT)
4th December 2010 Notification of paper Acceptance
7th January 2011 Camera-ready copy due
