Ancient Egyptian & Coptic

Ancient Egyptian is the oldest recorded language spoken on the African continent. Text samples date till at least 3100 BC, possibly even earlier. The language was in use until the 15th or 16th century, though in its later incarnation it is usually referred to as Coptic. During its long history of usage, the spoken language, the written language(s), and the various scripts used went through numerous changes.

I do not intend to survey all web resources available for Ancient Egyptian or Coptic systematically, at least not at present. Only a brief selection is presented here.
